| I specialize in commercial, investment and multifamily real estate. Most of my multifamily real estate experience is in student housing where we have developed, managed and sold several complexes. The largest of these was College Town Mankato. I currently have my real estate broker’s license and am a member of CCIM (Certified Commercial and Investment Member). This designation is the most respected one in the commercial real estate industry.
Within the commercial real estate arena I have been involved with transactions in office, retail, land and industrial markets. I also have experience as a business owner and landlord for both commercial and multifamily real estate.
I attended college at Mankato State University in the school of business and finished my education at the Graduate School of Banking in Madison Wisconsin. I have also held securities licenses (series 7, 63 and 65) and insurance licenses (property/casualty, life and health).
I began my working career in direct sales from 1983 to 1995. I then worked in the securities, investment and banking industry from 1995 to 2000 when I was promoted to Executive VP at Community Bank in Mankato. I held that position until 2006 and still serve on the board of directors. I have a strong background in commercial lending from my years at Community Bank. I then opened a real estate brokerage company in 2006.
